I have invested 15 Lakhs into Smart owner properties way back in 2016. Initially the lock in period was 2 years. After the lock in period i asked to return my money but they said we have to wait for the sales to happen and will get delayed by 1 year. Again after 1 year they said they are moving all the money from this project to debt funds which will give fixed return every quarter and minimum lock in is 2 more years. In the first year they gave some interest in 2019. After that they didn’t pay anything due to Covid and delaying the payments year after year. When i researched, came to know many people have been duped by smart owner and now they have projects all over India which is very alarming. What are the options for me as a minority investor to get my money back?
