I came to Simplilearn to learn programming. My experience with the organization was unpleasant mixed with feeling of being cheated. The call rep called me when I express interest in finding out more about the program. They told me that they had a sale for a program that I was interested in. I agreed and they registered for the course mentioning that I can call any time to cancel or switch. Since it was a phone call, I did not have any records of the deal I had with the rep. I only found out that I had 7 days to cancel after I log in when the course started. I requested to delay because I did not have time to finish the course. I was then enrolled in another course which started a few months later. To my surprise, I was charged over $1000 for the first course and roughly another $3000 for the second course. The course was not provided by Purdue professors and I did not have live access. When I went to the course to see when the live class started, I kept telling me there was no live course at this time. After 2 months of frustration with no live classes, I called to cancel but I could not because 7 days policy had passed. My attempt to make use of the money I already paid, I reached out to them to see what I can use the money I already pay for anything. They offered me that I can take other courses also for machine learning. I did and I did not know they actually charged me over another $1000 of fees instead of me simplify change the course as they said I can switch the courses. So at the end I paid over $5000. I called to remove all my contact information from the site so no one can contact me again. I also called my credit card company to complaint but they simply said that it was not an actual goods where it can be damaged. They did not take care of complaint about services. I do not know where I can go for help. I called the complaint department in CA about the issue. I am hoping that I am able to report Simplilearn and their unfair and not upfront business practices so that they will not scam many other customers who simply want transparency before they get in any business with them. (Notice the total amount provided here is within -+200$ for simplicity).
