On October 17th 2023, I receive messages of money being charged to my simpl account for transactions done on Zomato. A total of ₹4797 was charged. I had received a spam call(IVR) asking if I had done any transaction and press dials like 1/2 which i disconnected immediately. I immediately raised complaint to simpl pay
and got my account blocked for safety. Since then have followed up multiple times over almost 2.5 months but there haven’t been any response. On 14th December 2023 i received the following response through mail: “Dear -,
We sincerely apologize for the delayed response, and we appreciate your patience.
To address your concern effectively, we kindly request you to share valid proof to support your claim of account takeover. Acceptable proofs may include:
A recorded call illustrating voice phishing attempts.
Screenshots indicating the IVR number, call time, and duration.
Screenshots displaying the message where the OTP was shared with the fraudster.
If you’ve already shared any of the above proofs, please reply to this email acknowledging the same.
If you haven’t shared any proofs earlier, please acknowledge this email with the required proof. Your cooperation in providing the specified evidence is essential for us to proceed further in resolving your issue.

I already shared the screenshot of phone number from which I got the call. I wrote several mails and raised concerns several times with following ticket id’s: 694482, 766194, 701564.
Till date I receive 3/4 calls everyday regarding repayment of the due amount however, they don’t have time to look after the matter and investigate it properly.
Simpl pays security systems are not proper as even without explicitly sharing any details or OTP my account was charged. Also after raising immediate complaint to alert the authorities , simpl didn’t take any action for months only to harass a customer tremendously.
