Text of Complaint by KL Narendra:

I am having an existing postpaid mobile 9652022211 which has been upgraded to AIRTEL BALCK from PLATINUM on 19.11.2021. I added 2 of my family members mobile numbers (1. 9618362211, 2. 8790970436) as add on numbers in my 999 postpaid family plan. Since after adding 8790970436 stopped working. It started showing as “SIM REGISTRATION FAILED”. I spoke to my dedicated support team and was suggested for Sim Swap from the nearby Airtel store. I visited the nearby Airtel store which is 40 km far from my residence and came to know that they only provide prepaid SIM cards and for postpaid I need to go to the district headquarters which is 150 kms from my residence. Anyways I went there also on 26.11.2021 but again I was informed that as the sim was on my mother’s name the 65yrs old lady needs to travel all the way long 150 kms up and 150 kms down for activation of an existing mobile number. See the issue does not ends here. Again on 27.11.2021 I brought my mother to the store and there new sim was given at 10am and was told that will be activated in 3 hrs. I sent my mother waited myself till evening 6pm but the sim not activated. When I asked the concerned I was informed that the face in the Aadhar and the photo taken at the store are not matching properly.

Now again the game began from starting. When I asked them to activate I was told to bring my old mother again for verification. See the same day at 10 am she came and you people dont have minimum sense that how come an old lady travel again 300 km for the activation of a sim which stopped by airtel after upgrading to Airtel Black which is being promoted rigorously.

My mobile number is not working since last 20 days. Can you people guess of the hell I am going with. My entire Banking transaction had been stopped since the last 20days.

I want my sim to be activated urgently. I am having both the old and new sim cards with me. I can provide you all the required documents needed for activation.
One more interesting thing happened duringthis entire followup. Actually I spoken with the team 5 times during last 10 days and in frustration I requested to raise port out request for all my 4 airtel mobile numbers. And what you peaple did was raised request for deactivation/suspension of my mobile. This is the dedicated service I got after upgrading to Airtel Black.
