My mother has been using the airtel service for more than 10 years. A few days ago, her SIM card stopped working and when we visited the airtel store we came to know that my sim was registered under another name. This seems to be a completely fraudulent act for the fancy number and they are also saying that since this is a fancy number we cannot get it back. We got this number with our proof and since then we have given it in all our aadhar card, bank, ration card and passport and we have all the proof. 3 years ago, we got airtel 4G sim from the same airtel store by replacing our 3G sim. Also we do not understand how they gave 4G sim if the 3G sim is not registered in my name. This seems to be a big scam and unethical behaviour for the fancy number.
