I am using this particular Airtel SIM for the last 8 years registered in my own name. However the SIM suddenly stop working recently. No signal was detected. The same thing happen last year for which I was compelled to issued with a new duplicate SIM.
I called up customer care who told me to visit nearest Airtel office for re-issue of duplicate SIM again. So I visit the office where the representative after checking the number told me the SIM was not in my name and they refuse to issue duplicate SIM.
The reason being my name on my Aadhar card is in full form whereas in Airtel’s record it is in short form/abbreviated.
It is pertinent to mention that the same Aadhar copy was submitted when I bought the SIM at the beginning.
