Text of Complaint by Sudeesh Chouta:

My fathers SIM card activation has been rejected even after providing valid proof [Aadhar card]. Your customer service guy – “Somashekar ” from the Airtel Store [New BEL ROAD, Bangalore] openly said on our face that our Aadhar card was fake and said he will accept the Aadhar card if its color. Downloading document from official aadhar card if it’s treated as fake, then which will be treated as original?

Your customer care guy openly challenged that my SIM card will be rejected in the next 15 mins.

I asked your customer care guy to check the current aadhar card against the previous number in airtel database, he didn’t agree for any. I even requested to take my aadhar card and link it, but he didn’t agree to it. I even provided a valid PAN card also, but he didn’t consider it.

This is not fair, I took my 70 year old father to this Airtel store for a photo snap and his mobile SIM activation was rejected. I felt very bad, for this reason I have raised a grievance in consumer court [Number – 3381565].

If airtel still has some courtesy, Please activate my fathers SIM. Please have some heart towards elders.
