I purchased a new Sim yesterday at around 3 PM in a Airtel Store. They took my documents, verified and gave me the Sim. They asked me to wait for 3 hours and then try activating, I did not get the Network. Later the customer care asked me to wait till 4 hours of getting a sim. I waited. Then again they asked me to wait for 24 hours. Now they are asking me to Visit Airtel Store and I got a message that my verification failed.
The person who gave my Sim would have got a notification that the validation failed, they have my alternate number. Why did they not call me back right then? I have to travel 12 Kms again to get it validated. The initial impression has to be nice, not making the customer run around for getting the sim activated.
