Text of Complaint by Ravi Gyanchandani:

What happened 👇

📅 7 Feb 2026
✈️ Delhi to Zurich – 8 passengers

I booked 8 flight tickets at ₹41,651 per person

Total amount paid: ₹3,33,208 (including convenience fee)

⏱️ Within 30 minutes, I got a call saying:
❌ “Only 2 tickets are booked”
❌ “Pay ₹1,38,000 extra if you want all 8 tickets”

👉 I CLEARLY SAID NO and told them not to proceed at a higher price.

Despite my clear refusal:

They unilaterally booked only 2 tickets

Charged ~₹20,000 extra per passenger

Issued a wrong partial refund for remaining passengers

Later claimed this was valid because of a “call recording”

⚠️ Important truth:

In airline booking, partial ticketing without customer consent is NOT a valid practice.
Either all tickets are issued at agreed price — or booking should be cancelled.

This is NOT the first time

In Oct 2025, the same company demanded payment for a Thailand trip and later marked it “rejected”, issuing refund only after strong objection.

Bigger concern 🚨

After checking social media, I found many people reporting the SAME MODUS OPERANDI:

Show low price

Take full payment

Call later to demand more money

Force partial booking / refund

This looks like a systematic scam, not a mistake.

Questions that need answers:

❓ Why does Wego app allow such portals on its platform?
❓ What due diligence is done before authorizing these travel websites?

I am now taking this matter to:

Consumer Court

Cyber Crime

Government & Regulatory Authorities

⚠️ Public Warning:
Please be extremely careful while booking flights via unknown portals listed on aggregators.
Always document calls, chats, and payments.

If you faced a similar issue, please comment or DM — such practices must be stopped.
