I would like to lodge a serious complaint against Upwards and a few other NBFC companies from whom I had previously taken a loan, which I have unfortunately been unable to repay due to financial hardship.
However, instead of following proper legal procedures, these companies — specifically Upwards — have engaged in highly unethical and illegal practices. They have stolen my contact details and are now calling my family members and acquaintances from various unknown numbers, using abusive language and threats under the guise of loan recovery.
Initially, I was unaware that this harassment was being orchestrated by Upwards. But after closely tracking the calls and patterns, I am now certain that Upwards is responsible for this data misuse and harassment.
I have already filed a police complaint and a cybercrime report regarding this matter. However, despite that, the harassing calls have not stopped.
Given the continued mental harassment and violation of privacy, I now wish to file a consumer complaint against Upwards and the associated mobile numbers being used for this purpose.
I request the concerned authorities to take strict and immediate action against the company for:
Illegal data access and contact theft
Harassment and mental torture of family members
Violation of RBI and NBFC recovery guidelines
Continued misconduct despite police and cyber complaints
Please treat this matter as urgent. I am attaching all relevant evidence including call logs, screenshots, and previous complaint references
