Text of Complaint by Debdatta Chakraborty:

We had a jio fiber connection in 2020 in a clause of full refund of installation of 2500/- if we want to drop the connection. After making many calls they are not refunding.

Now again I opted for a jio fiber line 3 months ago, in October. It was done on 9th October 2021. I paid 3536/- for the installation and 3 months pre-recharge.

It was a clear discussion between me and the jio employee that I am looking for a prepaid fiber connection.
He agreed and ask me to recharge for first 3 months that is 999*3 = 2997/- and told me that the rest is the installation charges.
Being a layman I understood what the employee said in clear words. He told me in clear words that after 3 months I can recharge and use as per my requirement.

Then I received a call in start December that I need to pay the due bill of 1208/- for jio fiber. I was not expecting any bill as I was told that it is a prepaid and for clarification I called that particular employee who did the installation. He told me to ignore that bill and told me some technical staff which I do not even understand ( this bill amount for those who wants membership and all). I trusted him and ignored.

Now my 3 month usage period is over. I am trying to do the recharge but there is no option in myjio app. I called that person again who did the installation and he told me that it is a prepaid connection and it is my fault that I am not able to do the recharge and asked me to go to the jio store for help (Dunlop store).

I did the same and from store I got to know that my connection is not a prepaid connection, it is a postpaid connection. I have to pay 2395/- for my usage.

Now when I called that jio employee, firstly he told me that I have used extra GB(s) and for that the bill amount generated.
Then he changed his statement and said that it is for next 3 months recharge and asked me to handover the call to the store boys. As the phone was on speaker, I heard clearly that he was threating the store boys and asking them to take the payment of my due bill and also asking them to convince me that it is a prepaid connection.
When the store boy denied and mentioned that I am asking for a prepaid connection he ask him to handover the call to me. Then he changed his statement and denying that we had a talk for prepaid connection. He is claiming that he mailed me the bill where it is clearly mentioned that the connection is postpaid. After the call I checked multiple times, and there is no where postpaid term mentioned on the bill he sent me over email.

I had a faith on jio, the leading network company and with that faith I opted for fiber connection. Now I had a feeling that I was fooled by a jio employee and he misguided me as much as he could.

I am really disappointed as a customer and can’t believe that this harassment came to my path from jio service.
