Dear Consumer Help,
I am writing to bring to your attention a concerning incident that I experienced while attempting to make a purchase from an Instagram clothing page named “men_wear_market.” The details of the incident are as follows:
On 13/02/2024, I came across the Instagram page “men_wear_market,” which is located at First Floor, City Centre Mall, Shop Number 184 & 159, Swami Vivekananda Rd, Goregaon West, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400062. Interested in purchasing a combo set of clothes ,I contacted the seller using the WhatsApp number provided: +91 +91 70734 11755 The seller informed me that the combo set were priced at Rs 650 and there would be an additional Rs 100 charged for shipping, making the total Rs 750. I proceeded to make the payment by scanning the QR code provided to me.
After making the payment, I shared my delivery address with the seller. However, to my surprise, the seller then requested an additional Rs 250 for GST charges. I was taken aback by this sudden demand, as no mention of GST charges was made during our initial communication. I attempted to reach out to the seller by calling the provided number, +91 +91 70734 11755, but my calls went unanswered. Subsequently, I contacted the seller through an alternative number, +91 +91 6367 190 056, but received no response.
I sent a message on WhatsApp expressing my dissatisfaction and requesting a refund of my money. The seller’s response has been unsatisfactory, as he insists that I must pay the additional Rs 250 for GST charges in order to proceed. This situation has left me feeling frustrated and misled.
I believe that such practices are unfair and deceptive, and I am seeking your assistance in resolving this matter. I kindly request your intervention to address this issue and ensure a fair resolution. It is my hope that appropriate action will be taken against the seller for their misleading conduct and demand for unanticipated charges.
