I had applied to a job on 20th Aug 2019, whose advertisement was posted on https://wap.clickindia.com. After the application I received a call and message from person who claims to be Amazon HR Anjali- 7290066576. The advertisement mentioned that the job is for Amazon back office, working hours will be day and night shift, cab and meal service will be provided; salary will be between 14000-23000 rupees. The venue mentioned for interview that is the office did not had any name or label to it so it did not occurred to me that it might be consultancy or enterprise. There were girls I guess in their 20’s who seemed as college going girls taking interviews. They interviewed me and told me that I will be getting a phone call from the company and once you are selected you have to pay the amount of rupees 1500 as deposit as you are direct joiner and you would be joining from Monday and you will get cab and meal facility as i was selected for night shift. I had clearly asked is this any consultancy they said no it is not you will be directly joining the company and no more further rounds, training or interviews will be there. I paid the amount because I am aspirant living on rent and was desperately in need of job. After all this process which happened on 21st Aug 2019, they told me i will be getting a call and offer letter by the company by 24th-25th Aug and will be joining from 26th Aug 2019. Today is 30th Aug I did not received any call or offer letter. I am calling the organization daily, emailing, texting them but they are not responding. I also visited their office 3 times but they are giving me fake addresses to visit for further process.
