I have purchased 2021 Himalayan bike from Tirupati (registration) and it met with an accident in Trivandrum, Kerala on 12-07-2021. At that time the road side assistance was also not available during that day. Then I took the bike and handed over to nearest RE service center, Marikar Motors, Trivandrum. The chassis bent occurred and claimed for the insurance too. Now the dealer is not ready to start the work due to the RTO clearance.
Then (Mangalam RTO) Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh suggest to replace the chassis with the same number and it has to take care by the manufacturer not the dealer.
From the dealer side they are saying manufacturer won’t issue the chassis number punched with old number, the dealer have to punch the chassis serial number with the RTO clearance. Here the RTO won’t accept that and according to the rules the manufacturer has to punch and issue the chassis while the replacement occur.
Now the bike is at garrage of RE.
