Greetings for the day. I am Shiyamla from Hyderabad and I have recharged for my Airtel prepaid mobile number (8978426693) for Rs.399 through Airtel Mobile APP by using HDFC Debit Card (HDFC Bank Account No.5010023605059) on 11-03-2019. At the time of the recharging process, the Airtel Mobile APP was very slow and the amount of Rs.399 was deducted from my HDFC Bank Account which was reflected in the bank statement.
As I didn’t get any recharge confirmation message from Airtel Telecom I visited the Attapur Airtel Telecom Store near pillar no. 134 (Opp. to Eshwar Theatre) on the next day evening. I was informed that the transaction amount of Rs.399 was not reflected on their recharge portal and they recommend me to raise the complaint to HDFC Bank.
I called the HDFC customer care and raised the complaint regarding the same as per the Airtel Store instructions. I was informed by the HDFC Phonebanking customer care executive that they have raised the ticket for the disputed transaction (COMPLAINT REF ID: 1856314) & the amount of Rs.399 will be reimbursed or recredited within one week if Airtel Telecom didn’t claim the same.
As I didn’t get any confirmation message regarding the reimbursement or re-crediting of Rs.399 after one week ( as informed by the HDFC Phonebanking customer care executive) earlier during my previous call, once again I called the customer care to inform them about the same issue. Again they informed me to further wait for one more week.
On 01-04-2019, I received mail from HDFC Bank that the amount of Rs.399 will be reimbursed or recredited within 9 days if Airtel Telecom didn’t claim the same.
As nothing happened as per the HDFC Bank previous mail intimation, again I called HDFC Phonebanking customer care and they informed it will take more than 15 days to resolve the same. After the stipulated time, I called HDFC Phonebanking customer care again and I was informed that the Rs.399 will be re-credited in my account within 2 days.
As nothing happened as per the HDFC Bank Phonebanking customer care Executive instructions, on 8th May 2019 again I called them and I was informed that the amount was claimed by Airtel Telecom and I have to visit the store for raising the complaint.
On the same day (08-05-2019) I visited Attapur Airtel Telecom Store near pillar no. 134 (Opp. to Eshwar Theatre) and raised the complaint about the disputed amount of Rs.399 by attaching my bank account statement for the transaction proof. I was informed by the store cashier that if the Airtel Telecom has claimed the amount from my bank partner, then, the same amount will not be recredited whereas it will be set off against my May 2019 recharge amount.
Till now I didn’t get any confirmation message from Airtel Telecom for the set-off of Rs.399 against the next month recharge amount and soon I have to go for the next recharge after 8 days.
It’s been for the past 3 months, I was made to run from pillar to post with profuse mental agony for the irresponsible and lethargic behavior of Airtel Telecom and HDFC Bank Authorities and I was annoyed with their bemused and baffled procedures in resolving my complaint.
Hence, I kindly request you to recommend for the reimbursement or for the set off against the upcoming month mobile recharge amount of Rs.399.
