I am an existing customer of airtel since 2005. I have a post paid mobile connection in the no of 9940681525 with a addon mobile no 9895082350. Addon mobile lost a week back and I requested for deactivation of the same to issue duplicate sim. I have collected duplicate sim on 17th Sep 2021 evening from one of airtel store located in palakkad near priyadarshini theater Jn. They have taken adhar as photo id and very next day when the sim was not activated, I called up customer service and could understand from them that I requested through SMS to deactivate the sim which was wrong information. Again I visited same store on 20th Sep and understand that they cancelled the request due to legibilty of the photo id proof. they issued a new sim against the parent no(9940681525) and the parent no deactivated from 7.45 pm to 11.30 pm. I work for a logistic company and the that is the peak hours were my business runs. After inserting new sim, it was active from 11.30 pm. I have not given any request to change the sim for 9940681525. All my request was to issue new sim for 9895082350.
21st Sep I visited the same airtel counter asking clarity. They issued another sim for 9895082350 which is not activated yet.
