Dear Sir/Madam
On 08/03/2021 I am contacting you with regards to being targeted by
fraudsters who stole Rs. 55000 from my account.
On 07/03/2021, I have initiated the recharge for my other number
“7209923903” of Rs. 399 through airtel thanks app. My Airtel Thanks
App was already having Rs. 10 in it and then the app asked me to add
Rs. 389 to it. I made the payment of Rs. Rs 389 and my account got
debited and the transaction of the amount happened. But unfortunately,
the airtel thanks app was not showing Rs 399 balance. This made me
worried and I called 121(Airtel Customer Care) for the same and raise
the concerned for the same and today morning I received calls
regarding the same with the number +919883659952. When I enquired the
same the representative explained that the offer amount is revised and
I need to pay Rs. 1 for proceeding with the recharge. But before they
asked me to download the Team Viewers app through the google play
store. Then they ask me to the payment using the airtel thank app.
And within a second I noticed a fraudster with my account. Debt about
of Rs 55000 was transacted.
I did not authorise these transactions as I did not know I was talking
to a fraudster. The money was taken without my knowledge or consent.
I, therefore, expect you to deal with my complaint according to the
Financial Conduct Authority’s rules on unauthorised transactions. And
request you to initiate an enquiry for the same.
