It has been 9 days and I’m still awaiting an active internet connection at my house. My mobile data usage has surged 400% in the last 9 days as my children are attending school online; I’m working from home. All of this because of JIO Fiber’s disrespect to their customers, lack of accountability and pathetic customer service. They have been serving me lies since day one of my request. Below is the chronological orders of the events that have taken place.
1. 23 Aug 2021 01.22 pm – Relocation request submitted online as advised by JIO consultant
2. 24 Aug 2021 10 am to 12 pm – Appointment date option selected by me in the Online form
3. 24 Aug 2021 – SMS received on my mobile confirming the appointment date and time.
4. 24 Aug 2021 5 pm – called customer service to get an update of my request as no one turned up during the allocated time. Customer service advised that there was no engineer available to attend and hence the appointment has been postponed to a later date, 25 Aug 2021 4 pm
5. 25 Aug 2021 10 am – Someone from JIO called to convince me to cancel my relocation request and order a new connection. However, they also advised that I’ll lose all my recharge monies that I’ve paid in advance. Obviously, I declined, and the guy hung up the phone.
6. 25 Aug 2021 3 pm – New appointment time given
7. 25 Aug 2021 4 pm – New appointment time given
8. 26 Aug 2021 10 am – New appointment time given
9. 27 Aug 2021 4.30 pm – New appointment time given
10. 29 Aug 2021 5.30 pm – New appointment time given
11. 29 Aug 2021 6.30 pm – New appointment time given
12. 31 Aug 2021 – Received an email from JIO customer care saying that someone is personally looking into my case and that my request will be completed within 24 hours. However, since that email, my request has been rescheduled 3 times already.
13. 31 Aug 2021 1 pm – New appointment time given
14. 01 Sep 2021 12.15 pm – New appointment time given
15. 02 Sep 2021 2.15 pm – New appointment time given
