We bought a new SIM and 6 month mobile prepaid service from a Reliance Digital store located in Piplod, Surat. We made a UPI payment of INR 818 for this new sim and 6 month service. The store representative said that they have not received the money from UPI even though UPI payment on our end was successful and the moeny had already been deduced from our bank account. The store representative asked us to make a cash payment, saying that UPI transaction failed and money will automatically refund in 7 business days.
Money has not been refunded yet and the bank has confirmed that money has been credited to Reliance Digital. Reliance Jio customer support denied to help us and we are stuck between the Reliance Jio customer support, reliance digital store and the bank. Reliance digital customer support asks us to contact the store, the store points us towards bank and the bank has already provided the payment confirmation reference number.
At this point, Reliance has received the payment twice and we have lost the money, with no way to get it back
