when i checked my booking i saw there was no booking in my name and further on calling agoda team 5 times they say we didn’t get the money and we are not responsible for it forwhich it was agoda app only which directed me to the payment gateway page

I had the same problem today too . i complained on this platform , contacted agoda and also filed a dispute against this payment with my bank . Absolutely horrible.
Same case happened with me today. What was your resolution?

No confirmation received from AGODA.com. money got deducted from credit card. money paid to Retail Domestic PT MUM on 25/9/21. No helpline number, email id found for AGODA. Pl help.
retail domestic PT does not belong to Agoda and seems to be a payment gateway. In your case Agoda used this gateway. I was looking at my credit card statement and found two payments I could not recall. So I googled retail Pt and got to this page. I then called up HDFC bank and they said they dont have merchants name, the HDFC SMS which has the OTP also has retail PT only which is very frustrating. As a last resort I checked my Gmail trash and found that these transactions I did buying Pizza from Dominos. hence it will be good if credit card statements have the merchants name as well apart from the payment gateway.
I have faced the same issue, lost 9K, agoda is now not ready to take ownership of refunding, they state that the merchant has to be contacted and they are not responsible!!!
RETAIL DOMESTIC PT MUMBAI MH IN is the one who got my money now. How do i get it back, has anyone got refunded after facing this issue ?

I have also faced same issues. I was booking hotel through Agoda.com. Amount was immediately deducted from my account but agoda did not confirm my booking. Hence I complained to my bank call center immediately. Bank official told me it was a suspicious transaction & hence I also blocked by card to avoid any further money loss. As I had lodged immediate complain, the my money was refunded to me in few days.
