This is for my Fiber Id account 02049300281 (in the name of my wife)

We moved out of our old place in July 2021, which is closed since then, and have asked the Airtel to close the account. They confirmed by end of July 2021 it will be closed.

So far we never faced any billing issue with Airtel in post-paid, so we never gave a second though in paying whatever the bill they send us, however in Nov after paying the bill we realized they are still charging us for the account which was supposed to be closed by July end.
When we complained they said nothing can be done for what is already paid, but they are closing the account immediately, thinking it is our mistake to trust an Indian company we decided to let go as didn’t have time to go after them. But then they again sent the bill in Dec and my wife paid it without knowing (thier billing is very confusing as we have new internet connectiong too with them in new place, which we took in July 2021) and again after talking to them they said they will close the old account for sure now.

And it happened again in Jan, and we had heated discussion with their support team and they finally agreed to send us a written confirmation via email. And now again the same thing is happening in Feb they are sending us the bill again, and their customer support is saying the account is active and there is no request to close it. However this time I have their email which I am pasting below.

I have emailed to their current CEO Gopal too didn’t get any reply, however whenever I complained about AWS issue to Jeff which their tech team didn’t take seriously I always used to get reply followed by a speedy resolution. Just show’s how serious Airtel CEO is whose company is in business just because of Good customer care reputation.

Anyway, hope this issue would be resolved now. Else I will have to take time out of by busy schedule to file a legal complain against Airtel’s CEO.

As discussed with you on XXXX805433, kindly share the previous cancellation reference number/ any interaction details if you have raised, for billing adjustment.

However, I have registered your cancellation request with the reference number 10015538756.

Your services are expected to be restricted by 25-01-2022.

Monthly rental on your account will not be charged from the date deactivation request is raised, i.e from 18-01-2022.

Further, the final bill will be generated on 27-01-2022. Rental applicable will be calculated on prorate basis.

Post final disconnection our team will approach you for CPE recovery. Hence, request you to please handover the router to our team.

We hope to have you as our customer soon again.
