I am writing to report ongoing issues with my Aquaguard Select Edge RO+UV+MTDS+SS water filter, which has not been working since August 31, 2025. The initial problem was a crack in one of the filter elements. A service engineer, Manivannam, visited the same day and replaced the entire filter element set, stating that a single element cannot be replaced; it should be replaced as a kit. I paid him ₹ 5,000 for the new filter kit, inclusive of service charges. The machine worked for about an hour before it stopped functioning. Repeated calls to the service engineer Manivannan went unanswered.
I submitted another service request on August 31, 2025. Request No: CM-310825-58066314, and a service engineer, Manivannan, visited on September 4, 2025. He reinstalled the filter, claiming it was due to an airlock in the filter that the machine stopped working, but it only worked for 30 minutes before it stopped again. Upon inspection, I noticed that one of the filter elements becomes loose during operation, which prevents the machine from working properly. The locking mechanism for the filter element is faulty. Again, repeated calls to the service engineer Manivannan went unanswered.
I submitted another complaint on September 4, 2025. Request No: CM-040925-58286975. Service engineer Janakiraman S visited on September 9 after a daily follow-up with the call center. He used a temporary old filter to keep the machine in running condition and assured replacement with the new filter kit when stock arrives. A service engineer contacted me on September 10 for filter replacement. He said only the defective element would be replaced. I demanded the entire filter kit replacement since, when I had a problem with one element, the service engineer said I needed to buy the entire kit. Now, why is it not changed as a kit when it is a defective manufactured part? I asked them why there is a different policy for customers, and I wanted my entire filter kit to be replaced. Since then, no service engineer has contacted me, and my calls to the support line have gone unanswered. The call center has been unhelpful, only stating that my issue is being escalated, but I have yet to see any resolution. Today, I see in the system that the complaint is closed without resolution. There is one response to my repeated emails to their customer care and grievance email ID stating that my complaint is closed.
It has now been over nineteen (19) days with no permanent solution to the problem. I urgently need a solution to this problem. There was no drinking water for me from August 30 to September 9 (11 days). I have spent ₹104 per day to purchase drinking water from outside. I want this expense of ₹1,144 also compensated due to the lack of support from Eureka Forbes.
