Text of Complaint by Nakul Vagale:

I wanted to purchase an Amazon Gift voucher, I have done so many times. On my phone use safari web browser, I went to the Gyftr site landing page. As I could not find the amazon voucher there, I tried their search function and was taken to a page to select an amount. I chose to purchase 10,000/- worth of voucher in 2 parts of 5000 each. I was prompted to login which I did and then clicked purchase and was immediately led to the payment details page, put in my credit card details and the transaction went through with OTP. I immediately got a WhatsApp message with vouchers, however the vouchers did not say Amazon as earlier. I tried to add the vouchers immediately on Amazon to my amazon money balance, where I got an invalid error as number of characters were less than required for amazon gift card. I went back to the site only to realize that the gift vouchers were not of amazon at all and immediately contacted customer care through the bot and was connected to Minakshi, I explained everything and she first denied that she could do anything, when I pushed her saying this is a genuine issue, she said she would escalate the matter and try and confirmed my email.
All off this happened within a span of 30 minutes and I told Minakshi to check purchase time as well, to show that there is nothing dubious about this refund and that its an actual issue/ error.
I got an email with a case number: 00124668. However within an hour I got an email from Minakshi saying:
” There is no possibility of a wrong voucher being delivered, as multiple authentication steps are involved in completing the purchase.
I regret to inform you that the cancellation request cannot be processed at this time. ”

When as a customer is requesting for a refund of a wrongly purchased vouchers- based on an error – system or UI based- and the customer is delivered the wrong voucher and instantly realizes and acts immediately to contact customer care will not help. I have requested again to do the refund as I do use their services regularly for amazon vouchers. They seem reluctant to resolve the issue.
