Dear Sir,

I have recharged my airtel prepaid number for Rs.2398 which has one year validity on Feb 28 2020. I have done the recharge via Airtel Thanks app by selecting the payment mode as Paytm. But somehow by mistake the payment was done twice.

I have immediately called customer care and made a complaint in Feb28th itself. They asked me to wait for 7 to 10 days for the amount to be credited back to my account.

It never happened. Then i contacted customer care on Mar 13th regarding the same issue and they said they cannot refund the money back instead can recharge a different airtel number (Unfortunately I recharged my wife’s airtel number on Mar 13th for 84 days).

Mr.Satheesh – floor manager then said he can work with backend team to increase my validity of my number from one year (feb 2021) to two years (Feb 2022). After that I did not check the validity and was under impression that Satheesh would have done the validity extension as promised.

On Jun 5th I had to recharge my wife number (84 days gone now), so when i checked my number validity which was showing only one year. What Mr.Satheesh promised me never happened. So I again called the customer care on Jun 5th morning 11.15 AM and asked them to recharge my wife number for one year with the amount I paid on Feb 28th.

To my surprise they said they cannot recharge another number instead they can refund. It is totally contradicting. I was asking for refund on the initial days but they refused todo and now they say they can only refund and cannot recharge different number.

So I raised a complaint about the contradicting statement and they said they will listen to my old call recordings and call me back within 72 hours about the next action plan. I never received a call back even after 72 hours.

I again called today i.e Jun 9th morning 11.15 AM to the customer care and to my surprise executive is saying they cannot refund Rs.2398 since it has passed 90 days. But they have taken a complaint with request number CONRC20609995733.

I need you to look into this issue on priority and help me in getting the refund back of my money Rs.2398. It is a hard earned money. Airtel is trying to loot the money from the loyal customer.
