Text of Complaint by Binay Sinha:

Dear Sir,

I purchased a new JIO fibre connection for my home at HN 225, Sector 52, NOIDA – 201307, vide JIO Order No. NO0001ADPR9W, Fibre No. 0120-3133063 on the 12th Dec and paid Rs. 3182.46 as demanded by a JIO sales executive who visited my place, in 2 instalments as listed below on the same day:
1. Rs. 961/- from my ICICI Credit Card as a booking amount at 3.50pm, and
2. Rs 2221.46 from my Axis Bank Account vide transaction id: UPI/P2M/571250005242 (YES Bank) at 3.39 pm for completion of the booking charged as RECHARGE AMOUNT
Total amount paid in these 2 transactions: Rs. 3182.46/-.

I was promised that the new connection would be installed at my residence and be operational from the next day, i.e. 13th Dec 2025. However, on the next day i.e. 13th Dec, installation engineers from JIO visited my place and after inspection, informed me that the new connection would not be possible as there was no vacant port available near my home and that it would take about 7 to 10 days for the backend team to make one new port available. I subsequently asked for cancellation of the booking and refund of the amount Rs. 3182.46 thus paid to the company JIO.

After a Service Request SR00002USE23 was made on 16th Dec, a refund of Rs. 961/- only was processed into my credit card account (from which I had made the initial payment) on the 22nd Dec, and since then I have been running from pillar to post for the refund of the balance amount of Rs. 2221.46. On 25th Dec I received a message that my complaint has been successfully resolved and closed. Every day since then, I have been having a talk with the JIO customer care executive, requesting for the refund of the balance amount of Rs. 2221.46 and every day I have been told that a complaint has been raised by the CSR and that action would be taken soon on it. On the 23rd Dec on asking about the complaint number, I was told that the same would be received by me through SMS. However, I found that nothing was done by the CSR and that there did not exist any complaint from my side in your records but for the one raised on 16th Dec (SR00002USE23). Almost every other day I get a message from the JIO helpline that my complaint SR00002USE23 raised on 16th Dec 2025 has been successfully resolved and closed. I presume that the refund of Rs. 961 has been taken as complete refund and the complaint/case closed. They seem to have completely forgotten about Rs.2221.46 charged to me as RECHARGE AMOUNT and paid as detailed above on 12th Dec. I don’t understand what is the meaning of this successful resolution when two third of the amount paid to JIO is still not refunded.
I then tried lodging a complaint with the appellate authority of JIO on Tele no. 18008893999 on the 30th Dec and requested the dealing executive to put everything on record once again and help me in getting my refund of Rs. 2221.46. Again I didn’t receive any complaint number or any SR but I was assured by the executive, Ms. Sagrika that by all means the refund of Rs. 2221.46 would be processed by the EOD of 30th Dec. The EOD of 30th Dec came and went by, nothing happened.
Same story repeated on 31st Dec, this time I managed to get a SR – SR00002VTM25 generated along with another assurance by the dealing hand of the refund processing by the EOD of 31st Dec. This has now become a daily routine and every day I get an assurance from them of action but nothing happens after that. On 5th Jan, I again received a message that the SR00002VTM25 generated on 31st Dec has been successfully resolved and closed. This time it was Ms. Neha who reopened the case on my request and assured me of action. But nothing happened. On 6th it was Ms Rosy, no action. On 9th it was Ms. Yashmin and Ms Shreya with the same result and my amount is still pending. Interestingly, the call to them gets automatically disconnected after 7 minutes and shifts to IVR for a feedback. When I call again, every time the call gets assigned to a new CSR who asks for the whole story to be repeated from the beginning once again since they can’t locate the complaint number, consuming the whole of 7 minutes and followed by another disconnection. The story repeats itself endlessly after that.
Sir, I am totally frustrated, helpless and completely lost my mind. I request your good self to intervene in the matter and get my refund of Rs. 2221.46 from JIO processed asap.
