We had a flight schedule from Kolkata(INDIA) to Atlanta(USA) on 21st May, 2021 with AIR INDIA. Due to travel restriction from May 4th, 2021, we were forced to cancel the ticket. During the cancellation, we asked for refund but AI denied the refund but provided flight credits to Expedia through which we have booked the ticket.
Now while we are trying to rebook the flights using flight credits, Expedia is unable to find any flights for the same root. Expedia suggested to reach to AI to get help on rescheduling the flights from AI end. We talked to AI multiple time spending more than an hours each time waiting and received no help on this. They are claiming that this is not anything they can do from their end everything should be done by Expedia only. Expedia raised their hand saying they are unable to find flights where that points can be utilized.
We are really frustrated now and it seems we will think twice before booking any flights from AI in future if we do not get any help to either redeemed the points or refund my money.
To avoid going back and forth with AI and Expedia, I would like to get my money back so that I can rebook the flights from my end soon.
