DGNE9H – Requested for cancellation and full refund due symptomic condition of the passenger. Not actioned by Airlines. It’s regarding not initiating the complete refund amount, despite of submitting and informing symptomic condition of the passenger traveling on 25th Dec 2021 from Guwahati to Jaipur on PNR: DGNE9H. Passengers Name: Kavita Devi and Biswajit Paswan. 1) The main passenger “Kavita Devi” had symptomic condition. Based on her condition, doctor advised to be in isolation and not to travel on 25th Dec 2021. The same prescription has been already submitted to Airlines. 2) On moral ground too, we were responsible enough to take the decision of avoiding traveling on scheduled date. We never wanted other passengers discomfort and risk them into infection spread out. Hence, as a responsible behaviour, we took the decision and informed Spice Jet. 3) The other co-passenger “Biswajit Paswan” is still minor aged 12 years. It makes no other sense that his refund request has not been considered at all. In this critical situation outside, he can’t travel and that too aloan. Hence, his refund has to be considered by all means. Despite of submitting the doctor’s prescription and informing about passengers health symptomic conditions of infection, there has been significant ignorance from the Spice Jet Airlines on refund. Secondly, they are not considering any refund for other passenger “Biswajit Paswan” who is minor in this case. If the main passenger got infected and not traveling, then how come minor passenger of aged 12 years can travel aloan. But, the airlines is ignoring both the passenger’s refund request. At last, they are offering for E-voucher for one of the passenger, but however it’s not acceptable as the condition outside is still not safe to travel. With the new variant still coming in and rise of the cases, traveling has to be avoided. There can’t be any compulsion imposed from airlines to travel and use the E-voucher. Therefore, we request you to check with Airlines and take necessary action required in this case. My rights has been deprived here. As a responsible behaviour, I informed Airlines much in advance about the passenger symptoms and not allowing to travel, but in return I am getting denial of refund. Kindly do the needful.
