I saw an ad for the rupee balance loan app on Instagram 2 days back and since I needed a loan I applied. After entering my aadhar and bank details, first, the message on the app said that once approved the amount would be credited to my account in 30 mins to an hour. then after approval, it showed 3 steps where the last step was ticked for loan approval and the second step showed an icon of pay now. I contacted the WhatsApp no given there and was told that the offer is only for members and membership fees need to be paid. I was ok with that so I paid the Rs.3000 asked for but then another step popped up between membership and disbursement for a verification fee that needs to be paid. The WhatsApp person told me that it would be refunded back when the loan was disbursed. I trusted and paid Rs.6000 for verification thinking it would get refunded anyway. But then another step popped up asking for Rs.20600 as GST.
I kept asking the customer care person on WhatsApp why everything was not explained clearly at the start itself so one could decide whether to go ahead with the process or not. But he did not respond. So I told them very clearly that I do not trust them anymore and that they should refund me my Rs.9000 at the earliest but they just keep asking me for more money.
I can’t afford to lose my money. Please help me to recover my money.
