Text of Complaint by Swapan Kumar Bhattacharya:

Request was made to Airtel Customer care on 05.02.2021 for refund of money which was not used for recharge for Pre-Paid plan phone. I am reproducing the email the company and the reply of the company,

Dear Sir/ Madam,
I have paid Rs.49/- on 20.01.2021 through S B I Debit Card and bank reported that the said amount has been debited from my and paid to your company and details are attached along with Bank statement from 20.01.2021 to 05.02.2021.
The payment confirmed by your company by SMS on 20.01.2021.
In-spite of that my Mob. No. 7044542847 has not been recharged nor the said amount refund to my account till date. This is nothing but harassment to customer for no fault for him. I could not contact any representative over phone 121 or 198 for remedy after making several attempts.
You have not attended my complain dated 29.01.2021 on plea that my e-mail not register. Your reply is reproduced below;

The email ID from which you have written to us is not registered against Airtel number 7044542847 .

For your account security, we would request you to call us at our customer care number 121 and get your email ID registered against your number.

On 04.02.2021 personally visited your Airtel store at Shyamnagar, North 24 Parganas for e-mail registration,but it is informed that there is no provision fore-mail registration against Pre-Paid plan phone. and in my case Company will refund the money within 10 days unutilised money to my bank account, but till date I have not received any refund.
In View of this, you are requested to intimate me what action your company has taken for refund the said amount to my bank account at an earliest date.

The company is taking same plea of registration of email for taking action against my request where as there is no provision for regitration of email for Pre-Paid plan phone.

It appears that the company is not willing to refund the money.
