I have received a msg that hello, thank you for using vibwd2c_bp49v10, you have been charged for Rs.49 on 10th January 2021…i haven’t activated any service so what’s the reason for charge and how can i understand in this code it’s charged for what ?? There is no customer care number of Vi where can we communicate proper with complaints…

Yes, it is a SCAM from VI. I did receive the same sms. I called the customercare. Then they apologized and said they’ll provide a waiver for this. I asked them to escalate my call to their supervisor to raise a complaint, after keeping on hold for couple of minutes they disconnected the call. Very cheap tricks from VI. I’ve been using vodafone for 15 years and was very unhappy for past few years. I switched my 2 postpaid connections to prepaid and converted one of the prepaid to other network. Planning on converting my current connection to other network too.
Also, they said i contacted within 24 hours of activation of the so called service so they can provide a waiver otherwise they don’t care. Terrible SCAM.
