I bought Asus ZenFone 5Z (Midnight Blue, 128 GB) (6 GB RAM) from Flipkart on 08/08/2019 and got it delivered to me on 10/08/2019 (Order ID: OD116212876759352000) and have been facing a lot of issues with this phone since beginning. This was a flipkart assured product and was covered under 10 day return policy as mentioned on their website. But even after contacting them multiple times, they never bothered about the issues that I had been facing. Please find below a list of issues i am facing with this phone.
The phone is faulty (details below) and on top of it Flipkart is the worst when it comes to customer service.The first time I requested replacement, they asked me to take some steps and that they will call me back and closed the ticket as resolved. Even after contacting them almost 10 times they are not able to provide a replacement. They keep telling me to contact the service center of Asus. They use F-Assured moniker to sell faulty items and promise easy returns in case of defect but will only ensure that the replacement period is over before they will finally tell you that you got to contact the particular company/their service center to get a resolution. Why the hell are you putting f-assured next to a product if you cannot keep a tab on the quality of the product and why the hell have you got replacement period mentioned if you do not have any intentions to keep your promises.
Here are the problems that I am facing with this phone:
1. It’s touch is absolutely not upto the mark. You have to swipe multiple times to something as simple as picking up the call. Their service guy (by the way they are completely ignorant and are there only to ensure that they can reject your claim) also confirmed that there were issues although he mentioned it as sometime issue which I do not understand. If you cannot pick up a call on a phone, what exactly should you be using it for.
2. A lot of times you will face issues like no voice when the call gets connected (this has happened to me at least 40 percent times in past one month) or it could be like the voice is cracking (10-15 percent) and the network getting completely lost (10-15 percent times). A number of times, it looses network for one or both sim cards completely, you have to either manually search for the network to get the network back, This issue has also been reported to Asus on thier websire (forum) but am not sure if this is specific to some phones or a generic issue with all phones of this model.
3. The supplied earphone is really bad quality. A number of times when trying to take calls on it, the other person will not be able to hear you. Although the issue will happen even when not using the earphone but it is more prominent when using it.
4. It’s camera quality in low light is really bad and the front camera is also not upto the mark when compared with other phones in this price range.
5. The supplied firmware has a lot of bloatware which makes it really heavy.
6. Given that the phone comes with SD845, it’s also not very quick or snappy that it should have been. I felt that there was some lag a number of times.
7. The phone does heat up quite a bit so please consider that.
8. When you check the details, under sound enhancements. Cannot find the secondary speaker and the service guy also said that there was no secondary speaker and there is no second speaker grill as well. Just to clarify some phones have a speaker grill on both sides at the bottom but it does not have that as well.
I have contacted them multiple times through phone, chat (screenshots attached) and even twitter (screenshots attached) but they are not listening at all.
