Problems regarding porting sim from Airtel.

Text of Complaint by Biswajit Talukdar:

I have a prepaid airtel sim with phone number ‘number’ from Assam. I moved to near Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh for college, but Airtel network around me is bad. On 11th December 2022 I visited a Jio shop to port to Jio where the shopkeeper sent a message “PORT ‘my number'” from my number. But it showed as not sent, I tried it too but it was not sent as well. I did not get any UPC code or sms too. I tried it again 2 days later but no result. But then my airtel started to show 2g (E) with message “You are in Intra 3g roaming circle, you can enjoy current pack in 2g” and this problem continued (I tried a lot of ways but didn’t help) so I got fed up and bought a Jio sim on 18th. Today (24 December 2022) I got to know that we can cancel the request so I tried that but turns out we can’t do that after 24 hours of sending mnp request… WHICH WAS NEVER SENT. I never received any UPC code either. Airtel is probably doing this on purpose. I have a lot of accounts, aadhar, identification, my bank acc etc a lot linked to this number and I do not want to change it because it’d be too much trouble, please help.
