A new Tata Sky dish & cable were installed in Jan 2019 & I had paid for cable Rs. 650, set-top box Rs. 8,900 & cabling Rs. 1,500. I used their TV services for around 4 months & returned to UK.
A signal booster was sent by Tata Sky but the technician did not install & tried to sell privately to me for Rs. 200 !
I couldn’t visit to India due to Coronavirus pandemic for nearly 3 years unfortunately !
When I came on 23rd March 2022 & checked the box it was found to be faulty so, booked a technician visit. The technician confirmed that the box is faulty & needs to replaced. He offered 2 boxes first one same as mine & other option was an android box.
I had confirmed with him several times by asking all the functions are similar he told me yes & in additional I get more apps ! So, I was asked to recharge Rs. 2,000 & there was a credit balance of Rs. 60 from 2019 !
But when another technician came with the android box it did not support normal recording function so, the technician took the box away & haven’t yet received a new replacement HD box & refund of Rs. 2,000 plus the Rs. 60 I already had credit in my account.
So, I have been cheated & duped for Rs. 2,060 !
The technician also confirmed that the signal strength was weak & only 6% he connected a booster & the signal strength shot-up to 53% but in this instance also, the technician wanted to sell it privately !
I have made several calls to their customer services & received a couple of calls from their back-office but they refuse to help ! I had got installed Tata Sky in 2019 as we have Sky TV in UK & was happy with Sky services !
