Text of Complaint by Rajashree Shete:

The mobile number porting request of no. 9922265263 in the name of Rajashree Madhukar Shete started in january 2020. The clearance of the airtel bill before porting was requested and it was duly completed. Later after some time another mail regarding airtel pending money was received. In the meanwhile jio recharge of Rs. 2000 package for one year was completed for the same number.

The remaining pending amount for airtel was paid after due date. The jio phone was still running . Thereafter the phone services were suddenly cut off. On contacting the customer care it was told that the phone was still active, but you have to contact nearest jio centre.

On reaching the jio centre, the consumer was told that the number has been cut and we had to get a fresh sim card for the same no. Our Rs. 2000/- was gone , but we agreed. The centre after completing their formalities told that the number would be active very soon, but it didnt get activated. We went again to the store and they told that some clearance on part of Airtel was pending. When we asked airtel , they said all clearance has been done. When jio was told about this, they again started the whole procedure, but still the no. was not activated. So, like that we were made to go to and fro from airtel to jio and jio to airtel several no. of times, but the issue was not sorted. Then the lockdown came . After 2 months of lockdown, suddenly jio has woken up and has called us to the store to complete the activation process within a day or two during the las phase of lockdown. They have told that to keep the same no. with the consumer, we have to reach there within a day or two.

The consumer has a small child at home , so it is not possible to go in the lockdown period.

Why so much of harassment of the customer and why consumer cant be given more time?
