Text of Complaint by Kevin Chris Dsouza:

AirTel is currently promising the highest 4g speed and delivering the lowest speeds

The network is so bad that we can’t hear what the other person is talking, many a times when a Airtel customer makes call the person on the other end never gets it.

I had been having issues with AirTel in the past and whenever I decided to port my sim they never let me do it saying you have to use it for another 4 months. The only reason I didn’t leave AirTel is because I didn’t wang to loose the number.

The customer care service on Airtel is also the worst service you can find anywhere. It’s almost impossible to get to speak to the customer care executive as you can’t get past the ivr. The only response is use the app or website which doesn’t have any solution. The chat bot on the app says it doesn’t have solution for prepaid customers.
On 14 April 2020 I thought I recharged my phone for 399 but it turns out I mistakenly put another AirTel customers number so I tried to reach out to the customer care about cancelling the service on that number and applying it to mine if not they could provide me with a simple refund, after trying to call the executives for a few hours I gave up.
After that I sent mails to the various email ids which are given on the app and website and the only response is register your email id with your number which I did a million times and still they are asking for the same thing.
Today is the 6th day I wasted trying to find a way to get refund and the only response i got yet is update your email.

Approximately a year back my SIM card stopped working so I went to the store to get a replacement and they told me the only way I was getting The same number was if I would switch to postpaid for a few months. I didn’t want postpaid but I wanted the number. The Airtel staff who gave me the sim told me the sim will be activated in 4 hours and it took 3 days. When I called her and asked why hadn’t my sim activated yet her answer was sir be patient it will come. On the 3rd day I got quite impatient as I couldn’t make or receive calls to my family and friends as I was away from them, when I asked her why had she done her job in-spite of me calling so many time her response was sir if you want this number you wait. That was very rude I didn’t say anything because I wanted the number.she also promised me the maximum amount would be Rs 400 per month, and never did it come near Rs 400, it was always upwards of Rs 599 and up to Rs 1000 even though the internet didn’t work half the time. That was way off the budget for me as I used to spend Rs 250 for recharge when I had the prepaid sim. After the time period for using the post paid sim was over I went back to the Airtel office and told them I wanted to convert to prepaid and then port the sim to a different career, they converted the sim to prepaid and asked me to wait another 5 months as you can’t port it right free converting it to prepaid *bullshit*

Today I sent 6 to 7 mails tried calling all the customer care numbers search all through the app and website for 6.5 hours and I got nothing. Complete waste of time and the Rs 399.
