On 23rd March, I had ordered a GIONEE F8 Neo (Black, 32 GB) for my relative R/o Ramapur Village, Tarabganj Chouraha, Tarabganj Sub District, Gonda, UP -271403.
The order was delivered on 25 July 2022. On 2nd August only, Mr. Ramesh while placing the sim card found that the Battery of the phone was not in a good shape. A tech-savvy person present there advised him to not put the phone to Charging lest it should blast.
Coming to know about the problem on 2nd August, I raised the issue with the Flipkart team who told me the Product return deadline and expired on 1st Aug only.
I notified the issue as soon as found. The seller has delivered a defunct Mobile. So, they should either send a new phone or replace the battery. Because of technicalities, a regular customer like me should not be penalized.
Later, Flipkart customer care called and assured me of raising the issue with the Seller who agreed to replace the battery post-inspection. Without any inspection, they rejected the replacement on the day it was supposed to be taken back. Since then, I have spoken to 2 different customer care executives but no solution is in sight.
