I joined this PG on July 13 and paid an advance of 5k. A rent of 10k per month was made as an oral agreement. The PG could be vacated with 1 month’s notice. I made a initimation to the landlord saying that I’d leave by December 17 before two months from the date of vacation. Now he tells me that I need to pay the full rent of December. Also he tells me that I need to pay 3k in maintainence. His argument is I take rents only monthly but this wasn’t the case when I joined the PG – because I joined on July 13. Many people in the PG have not been returned or their deposits. Please help me. Im tired of greedy landlords cheating students.
