I installed the PESOQ App and Applied for a loan. The application got approved however upon reviewing the loan amount, I Immediately cancelled the loan offer and uninstalled the app because did not agreed with the loan amount. The loan amount is 3500 and I will only received 2,160 pesos. So I decided not to pursue with the loan.
On the next day, I received an amount of 2160 deposited in my GCash App. I have No idea who sent the money so I decided to put in a partner bank of gcash to secure the amount so that I will send it back when someone claimed it. because I thought that it was mistakenly deposited to my account. Weeks past, PESOQ is contacting me asking me for payment. I keep on ignoring them because I know that I don’t owe them. Then today, I got an email from an a collecting agent about the loan amount.
Upon conversation with the collecting agent, they said that they approved the loan amount. I did not approved the loan amount because the interest was too high. The loan amount was 3,500 and the amount to be deposited is only at 2,160. And after weeks, the loan amount grew into more than 5,000 pesos. So I said, since I did not approved the amount and I didn’t received any text or email acknowledgement of the money deposited into my account, I can only what I received.
Upon paying the 2,160, they agent said that I still have a balance of 1,300 pesos and that they will still call and text me to collect the amount.
This should be stop. Loan applicant should have the right whether they will accept the loan amount or not. What they did is a violation of my right to choose.
