Hello sir/mam.
I have ordered a paytm soundbox for my grocery shop, It was not working properly, after using 2 months , I paid the rents and asked paytm customer support to collect it back as it is not working properly, they asked my exact address and told me to keep the box ready and they will reach my shop in 4 to 6 days.
They never reach me, they charged for almost an year for unused service, later I noticed in paytm business app and asked them to collect it and I questioned them for the charges , they questioned me that why I didn’t call them again and again, I said I called them twice and gave my address twice, and they said they don’t have any record of my call as they don’t have database more than 6 months, finally they said they will do something,
again no response for a month and again charge for this month and yesterday one of my friend sent me 500₹ through paytm and they completely deduced that money, still it shows more than 1500₹ I need to pay as rent for unused service.
Today I called, they are saying they can replace a good quality sound box and they are not saying OK to take that box back. They are sill twisting my hands to accept a new box, They said I can only return my box only after paying full 1500₹ money.
By this way they are keeping the box with me to charge me.
From my side, I did whatever I could, they didn’t take that soundbox back even after I asked them to take it back ,instead they rented me for almost 1 and half an year,
There is no mistake from my side,
They broke the trust by not collecting back the sound box and charged me.
Now I agreed to replace the old box as they were forcing me by promising that the new box will work good.
This is not just my complaint, when I go through playstore reviews of paytm business, I have seen lots of similar cases from different people across India.
I have call recordings of today’s conversation with the customer support of paytm, I can provide it as proof If court asks.
I kindly ask consumer court to look at this matter and take action.
