I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against Enroute Technologies Pvt. Ltd., the issuer of the OMNI Card, for withholding my card balance and failing to provide proper assistance despite multiple attempts. On28th Feb 2024, I visited the Uttam Nagar East Metro Station to purchase a DMRC Metro Card. However, the metro staff informed me that DMRC cards were unavailable and instead recommended the OMNI Card, issued by Enroute Technologies Pvt. Ltd., claiming it was more beneficial. I was told it can be used for metro travel, as an ATM card, and that balance can be transferred to my bank account. Due to urgency and lack of alternatives, I purchased the OMNI Card and had been using it for metro travel. On 7th June 2025, the card stopped working at the metro station. The DMRC staff informed me that OMNI Cards are no longer supported and that I would need to obtain a new card, but even DMRC cards were still unavailable. They directed me to coordinate with another company (Airtel). Following this, I attempted to transfer my OMNI card balance of ₹1,592/- to my bank account, as was originally informed. However, I found no such option available. I contacted OMNI Card customer support at care@omnicard.in, and their response was disappointing — they stated that the balance cannot be transferred or used for metro anymore. Despite sending multiple follow-up emails, I have only received automated responses and no resolution. Screenshots of the email thread are attached for reference. This is a clear case of: Misleading information at the point of sale Deficiency in service Unjust enrichment by withholding user funds without recourse I request the Hon’ble Consumer Forum to take necessary legal action against Enroute Technologies Pvt. Ltd. and direct them to: Refund the amount of ₹1,592/- to my bank account Compensate for the mental harassment, time lost, and inconvenience caused. I shall be grateful for your timely intervention in the matter.
