So, it’s been more than 5 months since i’am using Airtel & since the very first day i have been suffering with the data speed particularly during 6:00 a.m in the morning to 12:00 a.m midnight.

It works somewhat good in the night as the network traffic is less & almost every network works good, but i can’t stall all my important works for the network to come alive at night.

I can’t even read my mails leave aside other stuffs like streaming, browsing or downloading cause speed in the range 5 kb/s to 20 kb/s isn’t sufficient for these stuffs.And this all is happening when i’am paying for 4G & the speeds which i get doesn’t even comply with 2G standards.

To seek help from Airtel in this regard i have called them numerous times on their 121 helpline all in vain as i didn’t got any sort of releif.It’s not a day when i don’t have to call their customer support helpline, but all they do is just fool me around with false information & deny all my claims that i ‘am really facing the issue.

It’s evident with their open network initiative, we can see that there is no Airtel tower in my locality which can cater to the network requirements of this area.This comes when i live within the city area where a handful of population resides.

Then i contacted their nodal officer & appellate officer as i was told that they hold the highest office & my concerns can only be resolved by them.

Obviously this was the last way out for me & i did send mails to both of them, but in reply i only received apologetic & formalistic mails & nothing else which could solve the issue persisting since long.

I couldn’t call their nodal or appellate officer as the nos. they have published on their site always give a switch off call whenever i try to call them.The only means left for me was e-mail.

I mailed them 4-5 times again & finally on 29 April i received a mail stating that a new site is being upgraded in my area & it should be on air by May.

So, to testify their claims i went to the local Airtel store here in my hometown & showed them the mail that i received from appellate authority (UP West).They didn’t even took a note of that mail serioulsy for a moment & literally told me that there is no such thing happening in your area in the near future.

They told me do whatever you can, we simply can’t help you.

I reverted to the appellate authority stating that the ground workers here doesn’t even know about the so called site & they haven’t even done the survey for the same.

They replied to me on May 7 again reitirating that a new site would be on-air shortly.I beleived them as i had no other choice other than waiting for the month to end.

It’s 28th of May today & they still haven’t done the survey for the site & there is no sign that they will do it in the near future.I have tried my best to oblige them to act on my grievance since last 5 months but all my efforts have proved futile so far.

Obviously i have the choice to port out, but i came to Airtel by porting out of Vodafone.I even ported out from Idea to BSNL but how can we expect seamless service from a government organisation like BSNL.Jio is the last choice we have but adding to our misery Jio isn’t currently operating here.

So, finally i have reached you with the hope that my voice would be heard here & this long impending harassment & data speed problem would come to an end.

Despite my best efforts Airtel didn’t comprehend with my grievances & denied me the service for which i’am paying them hefty amount.

Also attached below is the  screenshot of speed test result which i performed through Ookla app, the same app which Airtel brag about in their commercials citing themselves as India’s no. 1 network, which is nowhere close to reality.
