Paid twice for jiofiber installation. Jio is not refunding the second payment.

Text of Complaint by Satveer Singh:

On 2.06.22 I had a jiofiber connection installed at home in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The name of the sales representative who came to collect the payment was Saurabh Pankaj. He asked me to make payment using my UPI. I paid an amount of 2824.92 rs using my UPI. The money is deducted but he tells me that the payment has not been received. No problem he says, the transaction will be reversed to my account. He then asks me to make the payment again. I do it again. Once again the money is deducted but the transaction is not successful. Now I have paid twice but the transaction is still not complete. Then he asks me to make the payment for the third time, but instead of paying JIO he asks me to send the money to his phonepe upi. He gives me all the assurances that both of my previous payments will be reversed to my account in a few hours. I transfer the money again ( this is the third time now), this time to his phonepe upi, using which he completes my order. A few hours later one of the previous two transactions is reversed. I have still paid twice. So I file a complaint with JiO fiber or at least try my best to. After keeping me on hold and disconnecting my call a few times, they ultimately ask me to write an email to jiofiber. Since then I have sent them the details of all the transactions, ORDER NUMBER, transaction ids, the UPI accunts involved (Mine and Saurabh Pankaj’s) as well as screenshots of these transactions and my bank statement indicating the three transactions. After repeatedly asking me for the same details again and again finally they register a service request (SR00001CGQUG) on 26.07.22, nearly two months after the date of the original transaction only to resolve it a day later by telling me that they did not find any irregularities in my recharge. They still owe me an amount of 2824.92 rs. To hell with this digital banking and stuff. In a country where internet connectivity is so irregular, I don’t know who is to be blamed. The service providers or the regulators who are pushing their own agenda.
