I am appalled by the way Airtel has been fleecing its subscribers. Last month I got an SMS that Pack validity for Airtel no. 9003476692 will expire on a certain date and outgoing services will stop. Recharge with RC35 or more, etc. This is a prepaid number and I already had more than Rs. 500 in my account. However, in good faith I paid another Rs. 1000 on 22nd October and recharged. On 14th Nov I received another SMS that my pack validity will expire on 18th Nov and outgoing services will stop. I tweeted on this. When somebody from Airtel contacted me I made it clear I have more than Rs. 1000 in my prepaid account and Airtel cannot stop my outgoing calls. I also said that Airtel can return my money paid through Kotak Bank, after which I will throw away the sim card which has become a nuisance. I need an explanation from you. Airtel is only a prepaid standby sim and I use another post-paid sim as the main. I may give wide publicity to your deceptive and pestiferous tactics and how you have been fleecing the Airtel subscribers and ask them to switch to other companies. I may also take legal action against you for cheating. That I am also a media person will be evident to you from my personal web page: search Googoe Prk Publications. After my tweet on this issue someone called me and said the problem can be solved. I trusted the person, and accepted the suggested package. This is for Rs 448 for 82 days. This amount has already been deducted from my account of more than Rs 1100 on 20 Nov and the balance amount in my account is Rs. 750. What is dismaying is when I make a call the call charges are again deducted from the balance amount after payment made for 82 days. I am trying to contact Sunil Bharti Mittal. This scandal cannot go on.
