I am using Nokia handset with airtel connection. Few months back I noticed that Airtel is charging unknown additional amount of Rs.5/- per minute under ‘usage’ column. where it is mentioned that we used special number service 5924102 which we were not aware of. Hence I checked in handset to know what service is that. I came to know that the said number is saved as #FunZone and since they have added # before FunZone, it comes 1st in caller list. After trying to delete multiple time, I realised that it can’t be deleted by user.
I have little baby at home and it could be possible that it might get pressed. Hence I requested Airtel to delete the said number from their end, But Customer care person informed that it’s not possible and every month I am getting overcharged month on month.
Hence I request to the authority to take immediate action on this, as I am sure this must be happening with many law abiding citizens and on investigating this fraud through out India, you might realise that this fraud is of multi crores.
I request you to order Nokia and Airtel to compensate for my monetary loss and for mental harassments I am facing since so many months.
WHO HAS GAVE THEM RIGHTS TO CHARGE 5 RS PER SECOND OVER SPECIAL NUMBERS
