I have registered multiple complaints on airtel customer care regarding a replacement of my set-up box which was not functioning since August 15th Mid-night. I have taken the set-up box to the care and file a complaint about the replacement the next day.

The distributor has asked me to pay Rs. 600/-, which when confirmed with customer care comes out to be Rs. 350/-. I have told that I will not pay more than Rs.350/- and he called off the set-up box sent for replacement after full repair. The set-up box was fixed by 17th Aug 2020 for which I have received a message on my registered number and a debit of Rs. 200/- was also made.

The next day, I got a call from the distributor for paying Rs. 400/-, out of which Rs. 50/- is delivery charge and no one is going to come to attach the box and look for its working, rather it will be sent in a bus which will be delivered to a telecom shop in my vicinity, to whom I’ll pay Rs. 400/-.

I have denied for the same but the distributor has closed my complaint, for which I got no intimation, and I have filed another complaint with the same issue.

It’s been 5 days now, my plan charges for set-up box is getting deducted, the plan validity is also expiring with every passing day and I can not freeze my account or transfer the amount in my airtel wallet to prevent it until I get my set-up box and connection back.

Further to add, the distributor doesn’t pick up the call, giving open threat of not providing the set-up box and demanding higher money for service.

I don’t want to believe it, but I have experienced and now I can say airtel hire burglar, cheats, and goons for distributorship. I would rather scrap my connection with airtel and guide others to do the same, as its enough of metal and financial harassment.
