Text of Complaint by Divya Dhamija:

I got an email from airtel on 26 April 2020 regarding activation of Airtel Xstream Fiber service and will be charged Rs. 299 per month in addition to existing rentals. However i have not activated this service and therefore replied through an email for deactivation of service and will not pay extra amount for any service. Received confirmation of the same from airtel for deactivation of same and will not be continued from forthcoming bills. My bill cycle starts from 27/28 April.
The service have been deactivated itself on 27 April and received confirmation on the same day, still airtel company has charged me Rs 299 with taxes for the service i have not even used for some hours.
I received the bill for the month of May on 28 May with this additional charged and I have complained about the same through email on 1 June for removal of this charge. Also raised request for the same on Mobile App. Its been 24 days that i have not heard from airtel regarding my complaint. Nobody in customer care is available on phone. No one from company replies on your email. The request on app has been closed without any follow up.
And above all sending messages every day for discontinuation of airtel connection. Even though i have made the payment of balance amount reducing this extra charge. Still this airtel does not bother to contact.

Eventhough i raised request on twitter and replied over email multiple times still issue not resolved.

Now today i received email that the service have been deativated effective 24 June. Wow what you were doing with my emails from last two months.

How many time you guys need to deactivate an unwanted service. This is just your ways of overcharging your customers. I am not going to pay for this 299 and taxes on it not even for one day.

I just want to ask Airtel what you think of your customers and harass them like this. You want us to keep following up for your errors. This is how you treat your customers of 10 years. Airtel Sucks.
