Sir,
My name is Saneesh MP am from kuthuparamba Kannur district, Kerala. I want to file a complaint on online fraud that happened to me in February 2023. It’s related to sale deal via OLX. Adding details below in detail
I was in a search for a DSLR camera through OLX. On 5th February 2023 I am impressed with a product displayed under “RWEs “account on OLX. Camera, I searched was SONY Alpha a7 and I am impressed with “SONY Alpha a7 IV 33MP Mirrorless camera BODY WITH FULL KITS+WARRANTY” and that was available for Rs.1,40,800 in “RWEs” account. Discussed about the product and price. Then we came to a final price of Rs. 1 Lakh. He told me to discuss over WhatsApp, and I shared my number ( ) over OLX. Attaching OLX chat screenshots and displayed camera photos with this complaint.
Firstly, we discussed on collecting the product directly from his location, but he made me convinced will deliver the product to me the very next day after paying. We discussed on payment and came to a decision that will pay 25 thousand and balance 75000 after receiving the product. Paid 25000 on that February 9th 2023 06:44pm from SBI account via google pay. Received mail from “[email protected] “informing me that will be delivered on 11th February 2023. Updated me there is a lens include in it accidently. 4hrs before seller (told me name as “Lakshman M Boli”) contacted me via WhatsApp and told me that board of directors not ready to deliver the product without receiving the balance amount. We made chats on it and me paid another 25000 on February 11th 2023 12:58pm from Canara bank account via google pay. After some time seller contacted me and told me that directors are not allowing to release the product if I pay 90% of amount. Chats went on and finally I was forced to make another payment. Tried for paying 30 thousand on February 11th 2023 02:11pm from Canara bank account via google pay, but the bank declined that transaction. So, I tried Rs. 20 thousand on February 11th 2023 02:04pm from SBI account and that transaction was success. Seller told me send 80% of amount to make the directors convinced to release the product. Chats went on and came to a final decision on paying full amount. So tried paying balance amount through Canara bank online bank transfer. Thought of sending as NEFT, but the seller told me via Imps or Paytm etc. as per that, I selected imps. Tried paying without adding as beneficiary, so the transaction limit was 25 thousand. I transferred Rs 25 thousand on February 11th 2023 02:21pm from Canara bank via imps. Money deducted SMS received, but transaction result showed pending. Shared pending screenshot and received SMS to seller. after some time seller contacted me to share more details on that transaction. Took screenshot of Canara bank e-passbook and shared the screenshot by blurring other statement details and balance, where that 25 thousand transaction was visible. Pending transaction got failed and I shared that failed screenshot as a part of trust. Told me keep updated before paying the balance, because some other charges may occur. And after some time told me that if I pay now, will contact the courier providers and will deliver next day morning around 7.30am After getting confirmation of payment without any extra charges I transferred Rs 30 thousand on February 11th 2023 08:10pm from SBI account via google pay. No further communications from the seller not even a confirmation reply.
On February 12th morning me contacted seller asking about updates, told me to pay another 32 thousand , as sellers lens was included in this package and they fear about the lens, I have to pay 32 thousand and after that they will come and collect within 14 days after repaying the amount. I was ready to return the lens that I didn’t order, but the seller was not ready for that finally got an argument on moving legally. At last, I decided to pay 32 thousand to avoid all legal formalities. Paid Rs 32000 on February 12th 2023 12:13pm from Canara bank via google pay. Promised me will make arrangements to deliver the product in 3 hrs. And now asking for another 28000 to deliver the product and this time sahred another account details. He was not at all bothered about our judiciary, he told me choose a better advocate by putting all blame on me,
• I told NEFT transaction and paid via IMPS,
• Blurred screenshot was sent.
• Rs. 25000 /- was declined
• Don’t know about these all
Seller received Rs One Lakh thirty-two thousand from my side and blaming on failed transactions. Total amount paid including failed transaction is Rs One Lakh Fifty-Seven Thousand (Rs. 1,57,000 /-). In that Rs 25 thousand was failed. So, in total seller received Rs One Lakh thirty-two thousand (Rs. 1,32,000 /-) from my side. And not yet my product received.
As a part of this complaint my humble request is to help me finding solution for this, and requesting respected officials to bring these type of frauds Infront of public and give them maximum punishment. Also requesting you kindly verify seller’s older transactions; I strongly believe there will be more victims like me under this seller. Even having strong transaction proofs, he is challenging openly. Am ready to submit all screen shots and transaction details related to this.
