Text of Complaint by Ian Pereira:

I placed an order on 6th October 2021 for an IPhone 11 128gb on Amazon India sold by drashita electronics. While placing an order there was an offer for exchanging old phone for a discount, i availed this discount and waged my iPhone 7 and was given 7000rs off. I have paid for the entire product along with pick up service charges. The total was 38099rs. The product was out for delivery on the7th October and got sms from Amazon saying out for delivery. Till the end of the day I didn’t get any deliver and when I contacted the delivery agent he said that the seller has canceled the order. No instructions were given nor was delivery attempted. On contacting amazon customer service they were of no help and had no answer to when I asked why was my order canceled and who gave permission for the same!? I was told that I would be given a refund. I don’t want a refund I want my goods for which I paid in full. They then told me to place a new order and when I tried to do that the offer for exchange of phone is no longer available! This means I have cleared been cheated and robbed of the opportunity of getting the best price on a certain product. How is this legal ? Why do they offer such deals and exchange offers on the site if they can’t back it up. Because I spent my money on this purchase and lost 2 days, I have not only lost out on this deal but on the other offers I could have rather gone for this putting me at a complete lost. This is completely unfair and illegal to cancel my order with an valid reason or my permission.
