I had applied for the online work from home job with Weltme Technology. They said I don’t have to pay any registration fees if I submit work in 6 days with 90% accuracy otherwise I have to pay. I submitted 600 forms on the 6th day with almost 97% accuracy but they said my quality is 79%. I got call from a person claiming to be an advocate and said the company filed legal case against me. I will have to go to Odisha court or settle by paying Rs 7190 registration fees by 12:05 pm on 28 November. I first thought not to pay as it’s fraud but then agreed as I wanted to file case against them. I then told the person I paid registration fees and he confirmed as received. He then said if I continue work with the company then I should pay 3 months refundable deposit or if I cancel the agreement of 11 months then I have to go to court and pay 6 months cancellation charges. I refused and he said legal action will be taken. I then received message that FIR filed against me and I have to pay the dues and case has been sent to local police. I again got call that I have to pay Rs 125000 charges or face legal action. The call was from mobile number 8350037183. I then went to my local police station to file a complaint. They asked me to contact the Cyber Cell department as it is online fraud. I went to Cyber Cell department and they filed case and said that they will recover the registration fees that I paid to the fraudsters. I have also filed an FIR with the local police and told me not to pay any money as all online work from home are fraud. I just wanted such useless people should be caught as nobody including me can apply for online work from home due to some personal reasons. I hope everything will be resolved for the best.
