I was reached out on WhatsApp saying they got my number from a Job Portal, about a typing job, where they asked me to fill 450 forms and there has to be 80% accuracy, failing which, they will not be paying me to pay them 8000+ 18% GST in return. i just submitted the project last night and today morning i already got the legal notice and everything saying if i don’t pay 9999 now i will have to come and pay 68000 in the court. He was being quiet rude and blackmailing . The People from the company are not responding to me at all , in turn have blocked me on WhatsApp. The advocate that reached out to me seemed suspicious, so i did a quick search about him and his law firm, turns out there is no information at all. i then looked up his registration which was sent to me, “(REG NO NB/UDPRJ/2020/0256, ENROLLMENT NO:NB/UDPRJ/2020/0256 CHAMBER NO 2017/1) (Civil,
Criminal, Family). Law Firm with 7+ Years Experience”. The name of the advocate is RAJENDRA SINGH THAKUR, RS Thakur Associates Law Firm Udaipur Rajasthan, his phone number:7869212251. when i looked up the registration number, i came across this website where i found a few people especially students having the same experience. So i am assuming this was a scam. i just wanted to put this out there for others to stay safe. They have a soft copy of DL as well. I saw some people here mentioned court order and hearing dates. Can anyone tell me what happened?
